What is Veganism?
Veganism is a lifestyle and dietary choice that involves abstaining from using any animal products, including meat, dairy, eggs, and honey.
Vegans typically avoid wearing or using products made from animal materials, such as leather, wool, and silk.
The decision to become vegan is often driven by concerns for animal welfare, environmental sustainability, and personal health (primarily in my case). Vegans believe that consuming animal products contributes to animal exploitation and environmental destruction and that a plant-based diet is healthier and more sustainable.
In addition to the dietary restrictions, veganism is often associated with a broader ethical philosophy that seeks to reduce harm and suffering to all living beings, not just animals. As such, many vegans also choose to support ethical and sustainable farming practices, advocate for animal rights, and promote environmental conservation.
